Rummynose About To Die?

I have had 12 rummy nose tetras for about a month now, and just noticed that 2 of them looking a bit sick compared to the others. These 2 rummynoses' heads are pale and white. with none of their trademark reds. These 2 are also breathing very fast and non stop, it looks as if they have a heart attack.

The other 10 rummys are eating and swimming normal and they have their 'red' heads as per usual. I just tried feeding them and the other 10 rummys were fighting for food while the 2 sick ones in question didnt even bother.

Water stats are:

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
PH 6.8

Temp 26oC

The other stocking (240L):

- 10 Zebra Danios
- 6 Bronze Corydoras
- 6 Sterbai Corydoras
- 5 Yoyo Loaches

Is there anything I can do now? I did an immediate water change, hoping that would help the 2 rummynoses, and turned the lights off.

Right it could be parasites which rummy noses are prone to or a bacterial infection, i've had them and to be honest there not that hardy.
Can you describe more the patch on the head, any signs of flicking and rubbing, the problem with parasites and bacterial infections is that they can show the same symtoms.
But for now i would go in with a parasite med.

Thanks Wilder. When I checked on them later, all 12 of them looked normal (including the 2 that looked sick).

There were no signs of flicking or rubbing, in regards to the patches on their heads, it was just pale white compared to the red patch of the normal and healthy rummy noses.

I did notice that when I checked on the rummynose and noticed the 2 sick and pale ones, it was early in the morning and the tank temp had dropped from 26oC to 24oC. Is this a cause for concern?

Do I still need to treat them for parasite med?

You do run a heater in the tank, yes a sudden drop in tempreture is not good, just keep an out out for whitespot, columnaris, can even get swim bladder when the temp drops.
They might be ok, just keep a close eye on them.
