I feel bad for not having one yet, but wasnt too aware how necessary one would be. Im hoping it will take care of the weekly brown algae im still cleaning off after about 2 1/2 months of initial set-up. What brand would do the job [probably not the BEST job] for the least amount of money? Not the cheapest one, but more of the middle range.

I got mine on e-bay for under $100. just search for "water purification". I got mine from the guy who actually has a store there, i think his name is filterdirect or something like that.

definitly get one on ebay if you know how to look you can get one with most purification 6 stage for under 100 dollars and work very well to. I got mine on ebay from the name aquasafesystems and i'm very pleased with it.

there is a guy in germany that sells them my friend got his for £36 including postage which is about $70 i beleive

Check out AquaSafe systems on Ebay..it's the unit I have and in the picture on the post under the nano forum. About $80 bucks and does fine. SH
