hi,i got a mini ro converter that is supose to do 120 lpd, under optian circumstanses, what ever they are.
ive put it on the mains in my downstairs toilet,i peirced the pipe with what i got with the kit.
was working fine, was doing about 25 litres every 3 days.
its only done about 75 litres since ive had it.
but now instead of doing 25 litres over 3 days its doing about a pint of water every day???
anyone got any suggestions to as of why its alot slower now than what it was a few days ago??

Has the pressure of water somehow been reduced?
not that i know of no. the pressure that comes out of the tap that i have pierced has some power behind it when the tap is opened.
when i open the tap for a bit the water thats comming out of the ro unit drips out alot quicker then gradually slows down.
but it was fine to begin with??
the filters on it cant be blocked already can they?
only been set up for just over a week!

Has the temperature of your water dropped sinificantly? ;). Optimal conditions for an RO unit are 100PSI, a large-diameter short-pipe pipe inlet, and water of 30 degrees C. Decreasing pressure, small pipe diameters, and colder water in the winter will greatly affect the waterflow out of the RO unit. They just work slower in the winter, kinda stinks.

its jut very strange that it was working fine one day and ever since its not been.
the weather has not changed that much.
i find that if i turn the tap on though the water comes out the outlet pipe how it was when i first used it the backs off??

If you used the screw in cutter adapter thing then it might not be screwed in enough to have properly pierced the pipe
They leave a "flap" of copper that might have somehow flexed back to cover the hole... ??

That would make extra sense if it works better with the tap on...

i screwed the piercing thing in and out again, its made a bit of differencent alot though.
strange thing is though is the waste is still comming out the same as its always has??

Wastewater is largely unaffected by supply line clogs due to the way the membrane works
