River Water.

Been thinking about using the local river water, filtered through peatland so lovely tanin stained fast flowing and above any farmland.
Am I missing something? I plan to collect and filter before use.
And of course I need to test it first

One issue with using water from a local natural source is bacteria. There can be pathogens harmful to fish from other fish (local species have different immunities than tropical), birds, other animals. Chlorination kills most of these.

Well I do have access to a UV filtration unit..........
