Well my fav betta Natsuko died last night of dropsy, I was going to put him to sleep but couldnt find the clove oil. I gave him his fav meal and let him out of the breeding trap he was in so he could die in his home!

It's horrible when a fish dies, sounds a bit sad but we have all had it happen so we know what it's like.

Seems like alot of other members are having problems with that now. You're a good soul to let him go back to familiar surroundings. We all deserve that. Sorry about your loss.

Thanks guys! I just wish I could have done more for the poor guy! I remembered when my old dog was dieing how he toured every last inch of the house and garden before we got him put down so I thought if I couldnt take away Natsukos pain I could at least give him the right to die where he was familiar and a last meal its the least he deserved! Wish I had better pics of him but they are all blured oh well at least I have the memory of him and his ways lol gonna miss having him take food from my fingers though!

That's a wonderful image of your dog you paint. Each of little pets has their own unique ways don't they? I think everyone should die at home, people included. We should all stop at nothing to make sure that happens for those we love. Sorry off topic but on point. I"m getting off my soapbox now.

JoltNBolt not sure what the name actually means my partner chose the name as we both love anime/manga so the majority of my fish get called names we hear from what we watch (sad I know)

Happyannie my dog was a wonderful little thing it was sad to watch him go through that end stage but he was 16 so a good age, miss him every day even though I now have a 11th old German shepherd cross who is a handful but what dog isnt at that age! I agree everyone/thing should die where they are happiest!

Well Natsuko certainly did have a good life being spoilt with live foods most days of the week along with his normal diet! Cant believe I chose him even though he was hiding behind a filter in the shop so had no idea what I was getting until he was in the bag and he certainly didnt hide when he was in his tank or cause any problems as he lived with platys as well for a good few months!
