Very sad star today, I lost one of my texans last night, very sudden. I suspect it was a heart attack or something as he started shaking violently.
RIP my beautiful boy.

Sorry to hear that hun. Its always horrible when you lose a big fish, especially cichlids i find.

James its tough, its the second one now :-( I am totally wiped out by it at the moment. Just praying the rest are going to be ok.

i know what its like star. its just like the time my prized 8 inch rotkeil just suddenly dropped to the bottom of the tank and died .

If thats the second one Lesley i hope Rainbow is going to be ok :) Perhaps a dose of Myaxin (spelling?) could be a good idea just to calm things down?

I have had a virus problem in the tank since Duce came back and Rainbow arrived, its only affecting the texas, just one of those things.

I hope they are all going to be ok, I have dosed the tank with everything I can think of, its a virus no medications can touch it. I have even bought another filter with a uv light hoping that will help.

Maybe a 100% water change including the water in the filters? Thats if its in the water column. :good:

Not saying you have bad water, :good:

Done that too. I think I have tried everything bar a complete strip out of everything.

Maybe thats the way to go then? Strip and scrub! (the tank) Hopefully whatever it is you can clear it with no more losses! Fingers crossed! :good:
