Hey guys,
I've had success with both before, but have recently heard you can use glue to attach it to something, not sure if this can be given that riccia doesn't produce roots.. maybe the moss would though, any thoughts?

I doubt glue is good. I think glue would block the pores of the plant, preventing them from growing well. Also riccia and java moss has the ability to bind themselves to a surface without glue. Putting glue on it defeats the purpose of this ability, and may be toxic to the water through leeching out chemicals.

Just use fishing wire and tie them down :3 Sometimes I take java moss and put it in a jar by my windowsill with a rock at the bottom. I leave it alone, java moss rests on it for like a month or something and it binds to the rock.

I don't think Riccia bonds to surfaces like moss, Riccia is a floating plant so it wont bond but using mesh and netting or fishing line has worked for me.
