Retrieving A Striped Rafael...

I have a rafael that lives in this fake log thing. problem is he is getting big and i dont want him to outgrow it while hes IN there. how do i get him out so i can replace the log with something roomier? ive taken the log out, even held the log out of the water for a couple mins. but he just stays up in one of the tunnels. cant get that dude out. any tips?

Tricky. But he will definitely never let go (unless busy dying) when held upside down out of the wtaer.

I suggest try feeding some live bloodworm about 30 minutes after lights out. He's bound to come out for them. Take his home away then

maybe try a diy fish trap. iveseen them somewhere a quick google should bring one up. then just put some food in then turn off the lights. come back in the morning and see. but u might just catch every other fishtoo lol w/ my luck i would, and not catch the one i need.
