Hello everyone. Im new here but not too new when it comes to fish. Ive always had African Ciclids and love them, but I have recently moved and lost almost all of them (about 22 of them) due to the cold weather. But what I am asking is some help and info on my next setup. I have a 150 gal with an oscar and a puffer. The oscar ONLY eats pellets and always has. I even threw some goldfish in about 3 weeks ago and there still there. What I want to do is go with unusual species. Im looking into things as frogs, bichiers, eels, african knife, baby whale and things like that. Im wondering about compatibality. I have a rock floor but am thinking on going with sand. I also have 2 penguin 330 and a emperor filter so im pretty sure filtration is not a problem. Any ideas will be helpful. Thank you everyone.

**** 22 fish lost. And africans  The weather is cold where I live and I havent lost a fish.

Well you should be worried about the puffer as it may be a brackish species and will die in your freshwater set-up.

guess i should have explained more---i moved and the fish got very cold from the trip. there was no way to keep them warm and inside--there was no cap on the truck.

i always use a little salt in any tank--and so far no problems with the puffer--i want to know if the other fish can live together or not.
