Red streaks on danios

I’ll attach a picture but I just got danios yesterday, but they have red streaks on their bodies! Not all of them but at least 2 and 2 already passed... at first I thought ammonia poisoning but they aren’t struggling to breathe or go up for air nor are they at the bottom of the tank.. they just congregate in one spot in the mid level in the tank. Now I’m thinking possibly a bad case of ick? I saw a white spot on one of their fins and their fins look like they’ve been bitten. I’ll look for more white spots... I did a 30% water change just to try and be safe while figuring this out.

What are your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate (exact numbers please)

Were they like this when you bought them? Do you have pictures of the dead fish?

I’m going to be honest, I don’t have a test kit. I just ran out I was going to get some next week after I got paid so I’ve been bring my water every few days to the lfs. They said I had perfect water conditions and they haven’t steered me wrong in years. I just got some more pictures... the dead ones didn’t look this bad. When I bought them they stayed together and didn’t move much around the tank, they didn’t have red streaks though. The red is really the new thing..

I’ve never had these problems before, my tanks have always been great other than a few years ago when I made newbie mistakes. I’ve never seen this before! They aren’t swimming erratically or anything, just getting these red streaks. I got them barely 24 hours ago, from my understanding even if it is ammonia the burns wouldn’t show up until a few days after exposure..
