Red Sea Max 250

I saw this tank at my local store and wondered if anybody has any experience with them.

am very new to marine keeping and currently hace a Boyu 130 litre tank but I know in time I will want to upgrade. I like the idea of a complete set up and doubt if I will have much room for anything more than a 300 litre set up. It is pricey however at about £1200.

Any comments/thoughts would be appreciated.

Red Sea Max are ment to be the best all in one marine tanks.
Well, so I have been told.
And I saw one set up...it looked amazing!

Some people have had a few minor niggles with them, but in general they are a very nice little complete set up..cosidered one myself before getting the Elite complete for it's added height.

hi.i am setting up my red sea max 250 tomorrow after upgrading from an orca 130 litre too.i went for the all inclusive option too and i must say the max looks fab in my living room.mine is black as iv heard the silver cabinet looks a bit plasticy.

Must admit I am not a lover of the redsea max - just imagine what you could buy with £1200 - you could have a really nice custom job with sump for that price

Thanks for the advice. Looking at options at the moment. What sort of set up could you get for the same price?

well just look at some of the bargains that pop up over on UR. Some 4 and 5 foot tanks go for peanuts. Then add decent lights, pumps and skimmer and your there

Indeed as Ben says or you could even buy new from a custom place - there are several - BigC likes............ oh heck, is it NC or AC or something like that? PM BigC and ask him

STM have some nice set ups for that kind of money too.

you could even get a very good setup if ebay and have loads to spaire with that much
