Anyone that has experience with these fish, it would be great if you could post some comments or facts about them, including tank size, average body size, etc. Any help appreciated thanks!

p.s. please dont move this into the other characins place, noone ever responds there!

They average at about 6 inches, and should be kept in shoals. Although many people are tempted to feed them live food, this is ultimately self defeating, and provides little source of nutrition anyways. a 75gallon is big enough for a shoal of six, but it must have extremely good filtration (I would recommend enough so the tank recycles its water 12-15 times an hour.) as these fish are very messy.
Thats most of what I know about them, do some searches on this website to find more, as this topic has come up many times before.
