I have a 14(UK)/17(US) gallon tank (60cm), which would you recommend for a tank that size? fluval 2 plus, or 3 plus? (stock in sig).

Also how big are these filters? And would the 3 plus fit in a 33cm(thats the water level) high tank?

I would say that a fluval 2 would be quite sufficient for that sized tank and with those occupants.I always overfilter all my tanks but the fact that you have gourami and guppy mean that you dont really want a very strong current as they will find it difficult to swim in

I bought a Fluval 600 tank (sounds like the same size as yours) and it came with the Fluval 2 plus filter which seems to work fine.

The Fuval 2 plus is recommended for 45 to 90 litre tanks. I'd say that it is about 7 inches in height with about 5 inches between it (my tank is 35 cm high) and the floor of the tank so you might get the longer Fluval 3 plus in if you have set your heart on it.

Link to the Fluval page is here - http://www.hagen.com/uk/aquatic/sub_catego...AT=1&SUBCAT=107

When getting one of these filters make sure that you get the little plastic attachment (called the venturi) for the outlet pipe which gives you the option of bubbles. :)

I tried to measure my fluval 3 from the outside of the tank and its approx 10 inches
