Hi there, i have just redone my nano tank which is planted and have noticed that although the plants are growing, only the Crypts look particularly healthy. The same can be said of my 180 litre planted tank. The anubias has really taken off along with the crypts, but everything else is looking a bit, well, not unhealthy, but not healthy either?! Was thinking of giving them a boost by adding some ferts and dosing liquid carbon. I have just ordered some TPN+ and am looking for some advice on which liquid carbon product to go for. Cheers.

But couldn't find one.. All I get is tropica aquacare plus... Im in uk btw..

thats the stuff Vin. Though, it's going to work out very expensive in a tank your size.

Bought a 500ml for 15.99.
5ml for 50l weekly. I should dose 40ml every week.

So it should last two and half month.. It's ok no?

Dose everyday though mate as it gives a more even constant amount all the time rather than one big dollop a week then reducing everyday.

I would be dosing 6ml per day which is very slightly over dosing.

Interesting... U mean 6 ml for 400l water.. Everyday?

If you have worked out that you need 40ml a week then divide this by 7 to find out what you need per day as it will be better for your plants to have a constant supply of the nutrients rather than one big dose once a week.

Ok cool.. That's what Iam going to do.. Thanks

But why it's says on the bottle to dose it ones a week?

For numpties?

LOL! I'm unsure mate, probably as it makes it easier for the average joe. :dunno:

Everybody i have ever spoke to has recommended dosing every day rather than weekly. If it's good enough for George Farmer then it's good enough for me! :)
