Hi all

Need a bit of compatability advice realy

One of my tanks is an 8ft 350 gallon tank + all i got in there at the mo is red tail cat (just under 2ft), perruno cat (just over 2ft), 8-10 inch polypterus dalhezi, large tin foil barb + a couple of large plecs

Always wanted a ray + was wondering whether it be ok putting a ray in with them?
If so any suggestions on which ray?
I will be changing from gravel to sand soon anyway so thats not a problem

Cheers all
James

Bump

will also be building an indoor pond this year so will have some good space

um i would wait til you have this tropical pond.....redtailed catfish grow humungus, stunning fish but will need a big pond once they grow and i have seen specimens the same size as my wife just under five foot,,,

I agree with nelly Id wait unil you have the pond built. Also the tinfoil barb you have is a scholing fish really should be in groups of 5 or more.

A big RTC would have no trouble killing and/or eating a ray

I will be waiting till the pond is built before adding a ray
I know the barbs should be with others but trying to find somewhere with large ones is very difficult

Is the RTC likely to kill the ray though?
Just that since starting this thread ive had a look on monster fish keepers + there seems to be alot of people with RTC's small + large quite happily with RTC's
Also got a baby RTC x TSN in a separate tank as its only 5-6" at the mo but when bigger will go into the pond when built

Cheers for replies all
James
