Quite Possibly A Stupid Question About Plants

I bought some plants for my tank a few weeks back, and they all came in little black plastic meshed pots. I've sunk these under the gravel, but they always seem to rise out when I use a gravel vac when changing water.

Should I have removed them from these pots. Its suddenly dawned on me that maybe I should have done this, and can then spred them about, as it looks like there is more than one actual plant per basket.

Yeah you can remove them from the pots and carefully separate the plants. Just try not to do too much damage to the roots.
