Hi, I am looking for a good very quiet small internal filter that would be good for a 10 gallon. I am not sure if it's possible to arrange something so that the inflow of the filter is arranged in a way that small fish and shrimps can't get stuck

I use the 3 gal. version of this filter. Very quiet and easy to maintain. If you are concerned about the baby shrimp (adults will be fine) you can pull the inner casing that exposes the pump, cut a coarse piece of filter foam and insert it between the grate and the pump intake.

Sis has an Oase Bio compact 25 in her 10 gallon. You have to put your finger in front of the outflow to check its working.
