Hey i wasn't quite sure where to put this so if its in the wrong spot could someone move it thanks that would be great.

Well anyways to the point now. Im currently looking to purchase a new tank a lager one right now my biggest is a 15 gal. and i would like a bigger one mabey like a 30 or 40 gal tank where i can start a new community. The ones i have looked at at the store have been a bit to much for me still being a student and all... so i was wondering if anyone knew or a good online store where i could find a tank and the supplies needed to stock this tank ex. substrate and larger drift wood and such. i figured it might be cheaper. so if anyone knows of a site please let me know.

Thanks in advance :)

This is sounding familiar....*grin* Have you tried E-Bay...? I've found all sorts of private sellers as well as E-Bay shops that do some reasonable stuff :) Will supply you a list of addresses if you like...let me know!

Good luck :D

I can't imagine shipping costs and packing on a tank. And 30 to 40 gallon tanks are pretty common. Have you checked local papers for fish tanks? Some people selling aquariums are getting rid of them and sell them with their air pumps, filters, all their accessories.

Also have you tried smaller LFSs near you (not chains)? If you tell them you want a new tank, gravel, driftwood, and all the accessories, maybe they can make a deal of 10% off or no-taxes for you. It doesn't hurt to ask if you can get a discount for buying a complete setup.

Shipping costs and packing are out of the question, unless you get a particularly dumb vendor, who offers to ship it for £10 (Dont touch it. Any muppet who does this will fail to pack the thing badly. Anyhow, I digress.) what I was getting at was that when I do an e-bay search on fish tanks, I limit the result to within 30 miles of my location...I seem to be fairly lucky in the area that I live...seems to always be some good stuff for sale...

Hope this helps!

But thanks anyways guys
