So, I finally got a 5lb co2 full system..which i got for very cheap, and its been pumping co2 for about 6 days or so...and I am wondering few questions..

1. How long does it normally takes to see visual improvement?

>>> I see some leafs getting a bit greener, but not by a lot

2. Also read about the co2 intoxication for fishes?..or co2 posion?..how would I know if fishes are poisioned by co2?..

>> not so sure, but heard it could happen from too much co2 injection to the tank?...

I will upload a picture of my fish tank soon as I can....

Thanks for all the answers

1 mines been running for 2 weeks now but i saw changes to my pogostemon helferi withing a couple of days

2 you need a co2 drop checker in your tank i suggest you buy the bromo blue ready mixed solution from aqua essentials (thats if your in the uk) when the fluid in the drop checker turns from blue to lime green then your co2 levels are right if it goes yellow you have too much usually 2-3 bubbles per second through your bubble counter should be enough but it really depends on tank size and how heavily planted the tank is.

to answer the question on co2 intoxication to your fish you can tell by there behaviour if thats happening ie gulping air from the surface and fast breathing

thanks for reply

1. I seen some changes in minor, but still monitoring for now and glad to hear its working for ya!

2. I have the mineral oil checker and it does about 2 to 3 bubble per second, and my tank is 80 US gal

and i live in US..and thanks for the answer about co2 intoxication, I think my fishes are as active as

before without co2, doesnt seem like there is any change at all in my fishes behavior, but i will def
