Iā€™ll be honest I havenā€™t tested my water yet as I donā€™t plan on putting fish in for some time. Any ideas?

What sort of wood is that? I have read that some of them produce a white growth and then it disapears after a few weeks. Did you Pre-soak your wood for 10 or so days before adding it your tank? Or did you by a aquatic plant already attached?

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

It's just fungus that grows on driftwood when it is first put in water. You can take the wood out and hose it off and then put it back. It usually goes away by itself after a week or so and isn't normally anything to worry about.
