I have 2 Blue Gouramis (3 spotted) and they hangout behind the filter. Why is that? They are not aggressive to my other fish (2 Dalmatian Mollies, 4 Assorted Platys, 2 Red Eyed Tetras, 3 Neon Tetras, and 2 Danios) , they are just the opposite, they are afraid to come out and swim around unless its really quiet.

Monica

Thats weird because my female mollie hides with the gourmais behind the filter, also. I will try it and see what happens, thanks

gourami's like a little shade too my opalines hide under a large floating plant near enough all the time and when i had mollies and other live bearers they hid under plants (at the surface) so it maybe a light thing too aswell as bullying and they seem to like slower flowing water ive found im not saying this is right in your case but thats what ive experianced whith these fish

I have a mixed selection of gouramis (blue, gold, pearl, lavender and moonlights) in a 260l aquarium with plecos and mollies. The gouramis and mollies (male and female) all get on really well together! Infact the two female gold gouramis are a lot friendlier with the mollies than they are with the other gouramis in the tank! Most of the time the gold gouramis are swimming with the male and female mollies!
