Hi, I am wondering what I need if anything extra for good plant growth, the tank is 1.2m wide "Jewel Vision 260" and has a High Lite unit (as they call it) it has two full width lamps 1047mm and both are rated at 54w - I also have the Jewel reflectors which apparently double the lighting.

I want to grow decent plants but don't know about food, CO2 or lighting required etc.

I don't want a tank full of plants as I like my fishies so it needs to be a good mix.

Just checked around and found that it gives me approx 4wpg so the lighting is ok - but what about food/nutrients - please don't quote chemicals as I don't have a clue ;)

Please advise.

Paul.

ps. tank so far - <a href="http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=276332" target="_blank">http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=276332</a> Page 4

108watts/ 65gallons = 1.6WPG

buy some tropica plant nutrition+ and dose daily at a rate of 5ml per 100litres. That conatins all the nutrients you need. And aslo, i would reccomend you buy some easylife easycarbo, or AE aquacarbon as a source of carbon. Dose rate is stated on the bottles.

All is available from Aqua essentials

Cheers Aaron, I think my math went wrong somewhere!!

I will have a look at AE thanks.

Paul.
