thanxs tim

i have the same trouble. Of my four loaches I've only ever seen 1 get to any bloodworms.

Didn't know they were supposed to be fed them every 2 days though

I use frozen bloosworm for my clowns, and break up the cube in the tank as it defrosts. The tiger barbs do get a lot of it, but as long as you let some get into the substrate, the clowns will get some. As they get more used to their surroundings (took about 2-3 months with mine) they may come and feed from your hand like mine do.
As for the Plecs, I don't really know. Mine used to keep the glass pretty clean, but doesn't anymore, however, he does clean the wood in the tank quite nicely!!!!

Just an afterthought. I don't think you have to feed them bloodworm every 2 days. You can also try algea wafers, od put some plant weights on a slice of courgette and let that sink in the tank. Mine go mad for that, and the tiger barbs don't seem to be bothered by it!!!

Nah, you don't have to. Mine eat flakes, pellets and algae wafers as well as their weekly veggies and bloodworm. My clown loaches come to the top to make sure they get it, I have never really had a problem with them not getting any.

Maybe put some on one side of the tank and then some at the other while the barbs are eating. That way, hopefully your loaches will get it too.

:)

Plecos are not true algae eaters, they also need vegetable supplements and algae wafers that have proteins and minerals they need.

I feed either 3 or 4 "ice cubes" of bloodworm everytime. I find that if I add 3 at once the tiger barbs cant possible be in 3 places at once and one cube gets to sink.

I've just got to get the loaches to find it......
