My Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos spawned, and the female finally spit the fry about 2 weeks ago. I may sell them but I don't know what to charge for them, or know if they even popular right now. Any suggestions?

I also have an adult, I believe to be a male. How much for him if I sell him?

hey i have usually seen the young ones go for 7$ around, if you are willing to ship or if you are near NC i would love to get some out of you !

Hello! :D They have a little growing to do before I can sell them. I'll post here when they're old enough. I'm in Ohio, but if I can talk my hubby into a vacation...

haha yes i have been looking for these little guys all around, the thing is our closest fish store is an hour away, i live in the west part with the mountains and not many people.. at all ! so fish are very hard to come by unless you order them from online. but if you can send some or if your ever commin this way let me know because i would be interested. thanks and good luck with the little ones, any pics of the little cuties for us all

My UK LFS has them quite small at £12.00 GBP.
Don't know if this helps or how different the marketplace is over the pond??? :dunno:

If I did the currency converter correctly, that's a little over $21 USD. The average here seems to be around $5.00 for 1.5" fry.

Here we have mbuna from, 6 dollars too 32 dollars(tank raised) for just under 2 inches depends how stupid the store is really, In town the cheapest store also sells the highest quaility so I'm pretty lucky

Stores around here usually sell cichlids (2" to adult) for $4 to $10. Some stores sell cichlid fry for $0.99. I'd rather get them from a breeder so I know the history. Usually a breeder is cheaper and has higher quality fish.

The average price I'm getting is $5.00 each for 1.5" fry. I'm going to go ahead and grow them out to that size. When they are ready for new homes, I'll post in the classifieds. I still have the extra male; and pricing average for him is around $7.00. He's ready for a new home now, and shipping is available.

Here's a link to find some pics that are identical to my fish. Click on the link, then under images click on "male in breeding dress" and "female". Another pic that represents the coloring of my male is the "unsexed adult" image. He's almost always deep blue in color.
