Hi All

I have just moved to a new house and currently dont have any fish or anything in my tank, i was going to give them away but my nephew somehow managed to crack the front of my 450litre tank and i had to take all the fish to the local maidenhead aquatics. I was not very happy lol!!

But i still have my 240 litre tank, i am looking at going to pressurized co2. i have the co2 (from the pub that i work in!) but im not sure of what kit to buy, the jbl m1003 is around £530 with everything and the aquamedic £473 with everything.

Are they any good, reliability, any issues? ect

Are there any cheaper ones that work just the same,

I would prefer one with a ph computer.... if they are any good!!!

Thanks

Damien

I did use the diy for a while, but due to the size of my tank, it didnt work well enough, i even had 4 bottles at one time on the go!!

I would agree with Kyle look into the DIY fire extinguisher Setup. Works out a lot cheaper.

I've just gone the DIY route with a FE, whole kit for a fifth of those prices

Are you meaning the yeast setup ?

Yeh i meant yeast !!

I wont be buying the co2 in small cans ect, i already have a large co2 gas canister that pubs use to dispense lager. already filled.i just need the equipment to go with it, reguator, solenoid, ph comp ect.

There are plenty of reg/solenoids on ebay

I have used the following

Regulator + Needle Valve - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CO2-Doppelmanometer-Druckminderer-Feinnadelventil-/140546110652?pt=de_haus_garten_tierbedarf_fische&hash=item20b93374bc#ht_3171wt_1139

Solenoid Valve - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CO2-magnetic-valve-solenoid-valve-night-time-cut-off-/140549133486?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item20b96194ae#ht_2647wt_1139

Never had a problem with them. They are not the cheapest but they are great quality.

I've got all the bits you need for sale at the moment (without the ph controller)

The ph controllers just switch the solenoid on or off anyway so it's something you could add at a later date...
