pregnant or sick?

Hey, I'm new here but I found this forum a little while ago. At the beginning of October I got 3 platties, 2 felmale 1 male. That same day one of the fish had fry. I was only able to save one (she's doing great). Now the fish that had the fry is pregnant again (or so I think). I put her into a breeding net but now she is so huge I'm beginning to think that she might be sick. She hasn't eaten anything in the last two days and just recently (maybe a few hours ago) it looks like along the sides of her she developed spikes. Is she about to have her babies now or might she be dying? Any help would be great.

sounds like may be dropsy - she has got so fat her scales are puched awqay from her body
