hi

ive got 2 golden guppies with the red tail. my biggest female's gravid spot is a redish color in the mornings and black during the afternoon. why is that? is it a sign of how far she is?

secondly, ive got a month old guppy thats about 1 cm long. is it safe to put him/her in my community tank. will my zebra danio's and other livebearers eat it at this age?

thanx

A picture is the best way to give you a guess on how long until your fish births.

What other livebearers do you have in the tank? If the Danios and the Guppies are the only thing, your fry at 1cm has a chance. If there are any other larger livebearers, that fry doesn't stand a chance without hiding places.

other livebearers: mollies, swords

is the plants enough of a hiding place for the fry?

can you tell how far she is?

It looks like enough hiding places, but it's really up to the fry to hide. If you don't want a chance of the fish being eaten, don't put it in yet. If you do decide to place the fry in this tank, let it go up at the top with the plant in the top left, so it can hide there right away.
