hi i have had and still have very pregnant guppies. the males follow the females. i think the fry are eaten because i donā€™t see any young and the female doesnā€™t show being pregnant anymore. when i put the females in a protective floating mesh container they donā€™t give birth and after 2 days i release them. is it impossible for the females to give birth when they are stressed in the container?
has anyone had a way to keep fry alive?

Keep a close eye on the guppies, add lots of plants, especially floating plants. When the fry are born you can transfer them to the mesh box until they are big enough to not be eaten. Never put the females in the box, it stresses them a lot :)

thank you- i kinda thought the mesh box was not good. iā€™ll try to watch the females better.
