Pregnant Glass (Ghost) Catfish?

My parent's community tank consists of many basic species including the Glass Catfish. Today, I noticed that one of our catfish seems to have a protruding, silvery-looking abdomen. Should I be worried?

I wouldn’t be worried about the fat belly, but they don’t look well. I would be worried that their barbels are being eroded. Bacterial?
What are the water parameters?
