How long can my fish go without the bubbler running? I have bala sharks, silver dollars, clown loaches, tiger barbs in a 46 gallon tank. What should I do in the meantime until the power comes back?

Thanks!

if the power stays off along time, do a small water change or 2, try to keep the water change small and at the same temp as the tank...they should be ok for 12-24 hours no problem...and either limit or stop feeding them during the power outage to limit the amount of waste in the tank..

I just bought a battery powered air line in case that happens. It cost £12 plus p&p. Sorry that's just not much use to you now, just letting you know you can get them. Hope all goes well. :)

Hi isubrian :)

Pour a few cups of water through the filters every hour or so, if you can. This will help keep the beneficial bacteria alive by giving them food and oxygenated water.

I kept all my tanks going through the big East Coast Blackout from Thursday afternoon until Monday, so I know it can be done. Your tanks will be fine! :D
