My plecos mouth looks like it is growing strands. Like fibre or cotton. He is a standard pleco. These strands are white, same color as inside of his mouth. His body color looks great and he eats well, pellets, variety of vegetables, bloodworms etc. Water parameters are checked regularly with an API test kit. Ammonia tests at 0.

Substrate are small smoot pebbles, live planted tank with wood and some stone decor.

He is not acting strang. Wish I could get a picture but he runs and hides when I try to get on.

Trying to get some but have not had any luck

Here are some pictures

Not sure what is hoing on with my Plecos mouth. Water parameters checked weekly with API kit, all look good, no ammonia. Temp tank constant at 78, 20% water change every week and half.

Live planted tank with rocks and drift wood.

He is acting normal and eating. Diet is mic of pellets, flake, fresh veg, bloodword and brine shrimp and plenty of algae growth.

Looks like some sort of infection? Not sure. Do a 75% water change to help prevent a secondary infection just in case

Going to try a salt bath, this is the best method from what I am reading. The research Ive done suggests 10 grams saltper litre of water. Checking to see if this is correct or if there are any other treatments I have not found.
