I have ...
3 x red coral platys
2 x pearl gourami
2 x swordtail
2 x khuli loach
1 x african fan shrimp

All happily living together... however the pletys have each a single white spot on their tails and one has a larger whit spot on the body and its tail has frayed a little.

I have read about many treatments but some seem unsuitable for loaches or shrimps and some are unsuitable for planted aquariums which mine is.

Is there a general treatment that covers a few possible causes?

How many gallons is the tank.
What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Whitespot looks like the fish has been sprinkled in salt, or the spots are the size of a grain of salt.
The spots that bigger does it have any redness to it.

P.H of 7.5, Nitrates around 0.1mg. have not done an amonia test... its a 72ltr tank.

Each fish only has one spot which is whats confusing me as whitespot should cover more of the fish?

Maybe its a fungus or something?

Thats why I wondered if there was something that covered both options?
