Polyresin Ornament Preparation?

I got given a polyresin ornament for Christmas and I'm going to put in my tank soon. However, do I need to clean it or anything like that? Nothing mentioned on the label attached to it. I've read in the past that rocks etc should have boiling water poured over them, don't think it's a good idea to attempt that with this, any ideas anyone?

just give it a rinse under the tap to get rid of any dust, and then thats fine to put in.
