Plump Green Tiger Barb (or Barbie?)

Hi, i recently , like maybe a week or so ago, got two more Green tiger barbs, so i have three. The two i got are much smaller than the other one, and one of the little guys is really plump in the tummy area! Im thinking it might want to lay eggs, is there any way to tell if this is the case? Thanks!! ~dEx

Females are always wider and deeper than males - in many species, it is the only way of sexing them. It does not necessarily indicate that she wants to spawn now.

Thats said - I'd keep an eye on her - there are other reasons fish bloat - if she starts to refuse food or any other symptoms - let us know.

oh ok, yah i went and checked on her again and actually the other one is sorta chubby too....i think they were very young when i got them and maybe they're just growing up. they're both very active and eat like crazy, thanks for the input!
