Hey guys, ive been looking for a few days now and i cant find what im looking for. I need a U-shaped part that is flat at the top. Probably no taller than 3/8" to allow the cover to close. It needs to accept 1/2inch plumbing from my fluval 205. The U-bend has to go over a very thin plastic divider to get the flow into the main tank. I dont know how well i explained that but i cant figure how to upload a diagram onto this forum.

The tank is already up and running with a couple fish. I dont want shavings falling in

My AMAZING "Paint" skills.....

Ok heres my second shot at a "paint" diagram. Sorry about the quality once again. I realize the flat part will have to be widened but i was hoping to do that the long way since up and down clearance is the problem. Obviously there is more to the tank but im showing the OUT side of the Fluval to the rear compartment of the tank....

P.s. Hinge at top left of tank for cover

Cant seem to find anything that will work for me. Probably going to have to bite the bullet and drill a hole in an occupied tank :shout:

I've done it. I taped a paper towel accross the tank under the spot the be drilled so that shavings landed on that. This was an acrylic tank fyi.

Yea i think im gonna give it a go. Its only a plastic piece about 1/8" thick. Ill drop the water level as much as I can and try to make the hole somewhere above the newly created water line. Ill probably put the hole close to the surface and add a Hydor FLO for some surface agitation.
