please not more babies

i just looked at one of my platies. she's been fat for a while but she's definately got bigger and gone square. she's swimming around fine and eating fine though. my lfs told me 2-2.5 weeks before she had babies but that was over 3 weeks ago but now she def looks fatter than normal. reckon shes having babies ori'm just feeding her too much?

Well it is possiable that she is just having excelerated growth lots of fish have them. But if its been three weeks i would keep my eye on her. Do you have a breeding net to keep the fry safe or a seperate tank? She may have givin birth at night or something when u wernt watching and the fry could have been eatin. But most livebearers give birth in the morning.

Keep in mind that they typically give birth every 24-25 days so you can pretty figure out when she will give birth. This is assuming, of course, the LFS date you got is accurate.
