Hi all, I am a new fish owner with a 30 gallon simple aquarium that recently I've added three assorted African cichlids to. All three very small in length! The first couple of days the fish were great, chasing each other around the aquarium, eating fine. And now beginning yesterday they all became very lethargic. All three seem to be remaining at the bottom of the tank. Now i must say, i saw a spot of what appeared to be fungus on one fish so i have been treating the tank daily with pimafix as guided on the bottle. Its been about 5 days since i started that. Now the fungus appears to be gone, but my fish as terribly lethargic and not eating. I also noticed yesterday that one of the fish, had a long clear string like poop hanging from it. Can anyone help me out on what this may be? I've tested my water, every things perfect. PH is at 8.2, water temp is at 80, absolutely no ammonia, nitrates, or nitrites. Everything seems to be textbook! Now whats wrong with my fish!

Read the pinned 'beginners resource' section, it sounds like your tank hasn't been cycled, and you will want to post this in the emergency section, you'll get help much faster in there. Good luck.
