Hey guys I recently noticed this white fuzzy substance accumulating on my aquarium lid and it’s almost multiplying by the day. Soft at the touch, is this harmful to my livestock ? And what is this. ?

(Used to have a lot more fish but got rid of a few and a couple had Bactria infections and did not make it)
Currently socking :
2 female blue opaline gouramis. Get together alright. Small “play fighting” here and there. Black substrate, used to be full of live plants now down graded to a few live plants due to filtration issue with small plant bits accumulating around the filter. 1 fake drift wood decoration. And 1 fake Woden ship decoration. Feed them premium flake food , blood worms and some brine shrimp

It looks like a fungus or mold. I've never seen this, maybe other members have. Provided it does not get into the water it shouldn't be harmful to the fish.

If it's soft and wipes off easily, it's fungus and you need to clean it up with a damp disposable cloth/ paper towels.

Wear a dust mask so you don't inhale any.
Have a shower and wash your clothes with hot water (60C), or use an anti-fungal wash on your clothes after cleaning it up.

It is more dangerous to you and animals in the house, than it is to the fish.

I ever had them but after i wipe it off it wont happen again.
