please help new user

hi got a new aquarium 10 days ago. left it for 7 days before introducing fish in. last nite one of the fish had a red worm like thing!! hanging from its underside. after a few hours it dropped off. can anyone tell me what this could be )

What are you feeding them 'cos its probably just it's poop!!

keep an eye on it for a couple of days but i don't think it's anything to worry about.

what fish was it, if its a livebearer it could be a male, you say its red, unless you feed bloodworm, di

hehe, I always see newbie posts wondering about ze poop. no worries.

if your fish poop changes so that it is stringy and/or white, it's a general sign of illness. just a tip to keep in mind.
