I bought two of these plants labelled only as anubias. When purchased they had the typical green, roundish leaves on a long stem. After transplant the leaves melted and the regrowth is red/rust colored in the leaf margins and the leaves are more sword shaped and have little stem. What variety of anubias is this, or am I looking at the result of some sort of deficiency? Both plants are growing exactly alike and growth has been steady with a couple of new leaves a week and nice roots. Any help appreciated.

I'm not sure what your plant is but it's normal for aquatic plants to be grown above water (emersed) at the nursery and then when you plant them in your tank the emersed leaves die and aquatic leaves grow back, I'm guessing that is what has happened here.
