Please Confirm Identity Plec

Here's the pictures of my plec,
Just like someone to confirm what type it is so I can prepare for a plec that's bigger than me if necessary

Getting to work on the thermostat...

Look at me being all golden... (although his(or her) eyes look like one of those stick-on ones for paper etc)

Bristlenose plec, and they can really burn themselves on heaters so i recommend you get a heater guard for that, especially if they are going to try and eat off of it

Surely it wouldn't be stupid enough to eat of something that burns it?

I'm guessing they have heat receptors just as any other animal.


(Are they a general thing or does it have to match the type of heater I have?)

Yes it is a common BN and yes I would also advise a heater guard

Trust me, just do a search of this forum for "heater burn" and you'll see a lot of results with plecs burning themselves

I'm not sure, I've never needed one. But I imagine it can be a pretty generic thing, try ebay?

I've just looked. Interpet make heater protectors that will match yours.
