Hello everyone. I need your help with planting my aquarium. I have a 60 litres aquarium with guppy and platty and I want to put some plants. I am sending you some photos . Can you advise what plants to use and how to decorate them?

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

How much light do you have on the tank and how long is the light on for each day?

What is the general hardness (GH) and pH of the water?
Livebearers (guppies, platies, swordtails, mollies) need water with a GH above 200ppm (250ppm for mollies) and a pH above 7.0. You can usually get this information from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them.

If the water is suitable for livebearers and you have sufficient light then some good plats to try include Ambulia, Elodia/ Hydrilla, narrow Vallis and Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides). The water sprite floats but can also be planted in the substrate. the other plants should be planted in the gravel.
