I have a platy that has a much larger stomach than the rest of the ones I have. Iā€™m new to fish keeping and was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me why and what I can do about it.

That is a female, if you have males in your tank then itā€™s likely sheā€™s pregnant. They are livebearers and will give birth instead of laying eggs. I would separate her, that way the boys wonā€™t bother her and the babies wonā€™t be eaten by them.

Another possibility is if you notice her swimming weird, like on her side, then it could be a case of swim bladder or constipation.

She can be pregnant even without any males in the tank. Platy females, like other livebearers, can store sperm from a mating and use this sperm to fertilise her eggs for many months.

She looks like a healthy looking female platy. So, it's not bloat. She could be just wellfed or she could be carrying... But I certainly wouldn't worry about it.
