I recently set up my fw tank for my betta, it's a 10gal planted tank w/ wood and some rock, and I was wondering which plants would be most appropriate and effective.

Anubias spp and Microsorum pteropus, there are many different varieties as well as moss.

I've been having trouble finding moss at my lfs, but I'm most interested in them rather than the Microsorum pteropus or the Anubias. The only mosses I've been able to find are the Japanese moss balls, and that is definitely not what I'm looking for. I really like the idea of adding Fontinalis antipyretica, but I prefer not to order online. Of course, I may not have much option if I'm going to be picky...

Moss balls are a type of algae, but if you want moss buying it off fellow hobbyists is the way forward, especially for rare mosses.
