Plants outside?

So I am wondering if I can plant plants like hornwort, frog bit and all that outside in my moms planters. If so what requirements would I have to have if there are any. My mom said I could use her planter boxes(see pics below) and would those work? I just don’t want to plant a bunch of plants, and have them die.

Yes Add ferts and maybe snails and small fishes if needed. Make sure to only take in or out in summer since theres no temp difference
