Hello:

What kind of commonly sold plants would you suggest that would go well with rainbow fish?

It would be for a 55 gallon tank with LED lighting (part of Marineland bio wheel fish tank kit).

The kinds of rainbow fish are Australian, Bosemani, and maybe dwarf neon.

I am new to this site and I am new to this hobby. Any suggestions will definitely be helpful.

Some easy to car for ones such as Amazon swords, vallis, anubias and cryptocoryne varieties would be good

Have you cycled your tank? Welcome to the forum, you'll find plenty of great advice

Thank you, KkAaNnEe, for your response. I have not purchased the tank yet. I am also trying to find internet sites that can instruct you on cycling a planted tank.

Good luck :good:

If you are new to planted tanks then I suggest you don't get any plants yet and cycle the tank the standard "fishless" way. Once done, then get your plants etc.
If not new to planted tanks then.....have a read of this....... Why We Should Not Fishless Cycle Planted Tanks. It gives instruction on how to perform a "silent cycle".

I think most plants do well with Rainbows. If you have a look at my journal you will see what I am growing in my Rainbow tank :good:
