plants for my mbuna tank

I got a 75 gal tank that has 6 yellow labs and 3 auloncara maisoni and 2 7" pelcos and now I to get some live plants that will survive the constant picking at them.

Java fern. I'm sure there's others...that's just the one that sticks in my mind.
Mbunas sh. leave them be, not sure on the plecos.

First, plecos don't belong to Malawi tanks, water values are much more different: http/www.drak.de/Produkte/Duradr_M.html

Plants that live in Malawi lake:
- Vallisneria sp.
- Ceratophyllum demersum
- Hydrilla verticillata
- ...

Really only Java moss and Java fern will survive, or at least they are the only ones I know of that will survive. But remmember that there are always exceptions, so you never know what might happen!
