I have Rekord 60 aquarium (60l or 12g) with 1 extra light tube, total 30W, and CO2 injection.

ATM I have just two species of plants: Anubias and Valisneria Spiralis. Both grow quite good, especially when I added 1 extra light tube. But problem is that vallisneria is too big for my aquarium.

So could you offer me some ideal plants for my aqua?

I am looking for stem, broad-leaved ~20 cm height, carpet fast growing and ~10 cm bush, stem plants.

Thank you.

when you say piralis, do you mean the "spiral" shaped vallis or the long, straight vallis? You could try the "mini-twister" variety of vallis. It really depends on your light levels etc etc first.

spiral shaped vallisneria... its about 40 cm height  and my aqua's height is 20 cm

light level: 2.5 WPG

mini-twister? latin name?

P.S. I forgot to say that I am looking for quite common species.

Java Moss and Riccia should be ok in high light that you've got, but appreciate CO2. I'd suggest something small that sends out runners like Saggitaria (preferably the dwarf species that might be harder to get hold of) or alternatively some crypts? Maybe Hairgrass would suit your aquarium.

I have kept Vallis in very short tanks with no problems. Its unlikely
they will grow to 40cm in a tank your size. Although they do grow
to the top of the aquarium and the tips float. When the background
is covered like this it can look quite attractive.

Vallis grows to 40cm at least in my tank which is the same as the one posted, though I only have a single 15watt tube. Mine is coming out too, way too big for the tank, it grows back very quickly after a prune and blocks the light off to other plants.

I have what was sold to me as pygmy chain swords: they arrived with leaves ~10cm in length and broad, but now they have all grown to the height of the tank and the leaves are slightly narrower. Whether this is light related or not I don't know, but they have grown like mad, I would say in 3 months of growth I have 25-30 plants from an original 5! I also have some e.tennelus though it isn't doing amazingly well: this is very small with leaves ~7cm long and narrow. Would probably prefer the lighting levels in your tank aswell.

Given that you've got quite high light levels and decent co2, you could probably grow pretty much anything! Check out tropica.com for ideas of the types of plants on offer, get whatever you like the look of!
