Plant Suitable For Malawi Tank.

I know it's not really the done thing to put plants in a mbuna tank but I'd like something to help keep the nitrates down. I have ocean rock and crushed coral sand substrate. My idea is to put plant in its individual 'pot' and disguise with smaller rocks.

Is there a plant that the fish would not be interested in eating and how would I plant it, what kind of container and medium? Thanks.

I kept java ferns well with mbuna it tastes bad for them.

Anubias and Java fern and their varieties would be ideal. Both attach to decor.

vallis with its tough leaves could be done.

I like Vals a lot, they stay small too.
There are no endemic plants to either lake, which is odd.
