Can somebody please suggest a good carpeting grass thats easy to grow (low tech) spreads fairly fast but doesnt grow stupidly long??
I want to create a thick lush lawn effect. Something like this
I currently have Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis but it doesnt seem to be spreading or doing too well. Not sure why as i dose all the right fertilizers and it gets direct light. So i was thinkin about replacing it with something similar.
Any suggestions??? Ideally not a moss. Im not a fan of Java moss at all!
Also i have some Pygmy Chain Swords that dont seem to be doing so well either. Most the leaves seem to be melting.
When a new shoot comes through it starts to melt a day or two after.
All my other plants are doing very well and growing very rapidly! Which are..
amazon sword
afican tiger lotus
becketii crypt
nevillii crypt
blyxa japonica
Jave fern
Echinodorus (Rose)
Cryptocoryne Lucens
Cryptocoryne Undulata
I dose with easylifes Profito, iron, Potassium, nitrate and phosphate but only once a week as CO2 is not being used.
I dose 25ml of profito and 25ml of iron on sundays after water change.
Then i dose 25ml of potassium and top up ntrates to 20ppm and phosphates to 1ppm on mondays
Lighting is 2x39W T5's over 260L 8 hours a day
I can provide photos of the Pygmy Chain Swords melting if needed.
Thank you for any plant suggestions and advice
